Granddaugher, who is eleven years old, loves this series and was missing this book. Seems all the tweens love them. She began reading the first book from the school library and was so intrigued she wanted all of them. The seller was great and the books arrived in lovely shape. A young person would really like the book. Good reading material.
Very good read! a dragon story, yes, but not your average dragon story. must read the whole series IN ORDER! the plot thickens & keeps you well entertained.
The student enjoys anything written by the author. This is one series that the student has read all books written to date.
This "The second book in this series" i feel personaly is not as important as the rest mainly because i accidentaly skiped it and never red it entirely but if you have not red the third book and are about to read this one you shold know *spoilers* the real action starts from the third book onwards...
Dragons, they have always pulled me into their mysterious world..... Their fiery world of wonder. Almost every dragon story is different, with villainous dragons to hero dragons, harsh or gentle, brave or shy.
This book really pulls you into the dragon world in an odd way.... How they are so amazing and powerful, yet so vulnerable because of their fire.
They also have amazing personalities..... Listening dragons, potion dragons, and so on.
Bears hop into the mix, as well as mystery and wonder. And amazing explanations!
The adventure is high paced, and fun. Each chapter leaves you hanging. I was shocked at the end of many chapters.
The final ingredient to this wonderful book is the characters, so amazing and curious, each having a great, unique personality.

Just finished the second book in the dragon series by Chris D'Lacey.
I nearly couldn't stop reading again, as I said it for the first book, had to know where it would go. Loved it very much and can't wait to read the third now.
I could tell the whole story, but better not. You have to read it to see what's it all about.
