This one has me on the edge of my seat! Destiny Disrupted is totally different from the previous (Taboo) series by the same authors. This is much more intense with crime mystery plot behind it. The main male characters have a special bond between them and are not afraid to show how much they care about each other. It's so nice to finally see a display of male bonding without the guys being embarrassed to show their affection & emotional side. The romance/relationship are excellent, real & full of ups & downs like real people. I can't wait to read more about Vance & Melina ....oh... and the ending.... I can't elaborate...but.... omg...WHEN is the next book coming out????

Dark, raw, gritty, erotic, and action packed from start to finish.
Melina Higgins is driving to her dance teacher/choreographer studio when she is involved in a freak life threatening auto accident. The hottest sexiest man she has ever seen, comes to her rescue, saving her life.
Detective Vance Summers has just begun the most upsetting case of his life the day before he rescues Melina. A serial killer is brutally murdering families and has now set his sights on Vance. Unfortunately, the ones closest to him, are now in danger too.
Vance and Melina have a strong instant connection. They decide to try to make it work but with his long work hours and not opening up to her, Melina is not sure they can make it. Vance has never been happier in his personal life but with his more intense growing nightmares this killer has brought on, he isn't sure Melina will give them a chance. He's also concerned he might not be able to keep Melina and her family safe.

I recommend this to anyone who enjoys gritty raw drama, suspense and a house full of delicious hot men!

I have to say that the only reason this book recieved 4 stars was because of the many POVs going on. With that said the author did an amazing job of always letting the reader know who was talking. I really felt that some of the characters in this story deserved their own books. While that didn't necessarily take away from the story it does leave you itching for more about the others.
Vance, a homicide detective, is on his way to work when he witnesses an accident in front of him. While dialing in to dispatch to get help he notices the driver of the vehicle pinned in place by a steel rod that fell from the truck in front of her. Saving her life he finds himself undeniably attracted and protective for this beautiful strong woman. Thus ensues an instant mutual attraction and love affair.
While this story is suspenseful and erotic, it also showcases relationships that are open and honest. I would love to meet a man so secure in himself that he wouldn't need to hide his feelings and open enough to admit when scared. Saperstein does a wonderful job allowing the reader to feel the connection between friends and lovers. I love how this unconventional family pulls together when tragedy happens and they find themselves caught in the crosshairs of a duranged serial killer. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more from this author.
This was one of the most ridiculous books I have ever read. The writing was so simplistic I found myself cringing. It really could have used a good editor (balled their eyes out instead of bawled), but that wouldn't have fixed the practically nonexistent plot. Did any of these guys ever go to work, or did they just hang around the house to watch porn and have sex? Also,there was no mention in the book description about homosexual sex. That's when I stopped reading. I wouldn't read part 2 if I was paid. I don't recommend.
This wasn't what I expected. The blurb of the book sounded good, but it didn't work for me. It was hard to follow with all the different characters and their issues and the ending just left me confused.
This might have had potential if I wasn't being TOLD the story, and PASSIVELY, at that.

And men don't talk like women. The syntax was all wrong.

This book is awesome, has mystery, suspense, love and a whopper of an ending that leaves you hanging...if you are someone that doesn't care for a cliffhanger you'd better wait for the nxt book to be released. What an ending...😩... I'm anxiously waiting for book 2.
