Truly a thoughtful book about breast cancer and how an RN handled her health crisis when it affects her own life as an Oncology nurse. I lost my mother to BC and it was like dying my self at thirty-one. One thing I learned, I am not likely to suffer myself at the age of 71. I recommend this book to anyone facing this or knows someone with a BC Diagnosis. Lots of great things awaityou.
Also, love Angela's ability to work her Mastiff into her stories. Bailey was wonderful! Thanks for another great read.

Love all Angela Hunt books.
The plot is captivating and the suspense was amazing. I identified with Jackie in some instances. Sometimes as humans our faith is tested in the face of adversity. How we react to the situations is of paramount importance. Running away from issues instead of trying to find asolution does not c help.
I thought the book was great. To work in oncology as a nurse & become a patient is a scary emotional time, seeing patients die & now you've Become one. Definitely a 5 star rating.
Only Angela Hunt can take topics that no one really wants to think about or talk about, and weave them into a story that keeps you hooked and leaves you with insight into the struggles that ordinary people encounter.
Excellent author. Very good read.
I don't read many books that are set in "present day" and I wasn't sure why I even bought this one but I'm glad I did. Deep characters, struggles, pain, real life, funny quirks, and a bit of romance...albeit predictable romance but well played none-the-less. Great read. Thank you.
A Time to Mend brings the topic of breast cancer to a place that will hopefully reach a lot of women. It's not what I would have chosen to read about in a romance, but I couldn't stop reading once I'd started the novel. I finished it in two days. Neither does Hunt pull any punches--the heroine of 28 doesn't just get a lumpectomy, she has to undergo a radical mastectomy; her mother died of breast cancer, and now her tumor is of a rapidly growing kind. So, where does a self-sufficient, top oncology nurse go when her own world is falling apart? It takes a lot before she is willing to surrender all to the only One who has the power over life and death.
Along the way, Jackie, the heroine, fights her attraction for her handsome doctor and boss. Their relationship progresses only gradually as both are struggling to maintain a professional distance.
Very emotional, meaningful story. I would like to read more of Hunt's books.
