Later in the book, there is a “Who can last the longest in a scary place/story” contest for one thousand dollars, and Billy wins. That night, the contest organizers forget to give him the money, but when they drive to his house the next day, a secret is revealed. My favorite parts of this book were when the characters in the book go hunt for a ghost in room 505 in Kansas, and when the other contestants in the one thousand dollar contest get scared. I give the book 4 stars because of the style the book was written in; the narrator was third person yet knew everyone’s emotions. I recommend this book to kids who do not like scary stories, but weird stories which can be predictable yet still have an unexpected twist at the end.
